Summer Camp at Mister John’s Music presents 11 uniquely-crafted weeks of jam-packed multi-disciplinary arts instruction for your 5 to 10-year-old. Your camper will be actively engaged in dynamic instrument instruction, show choir, creative visual arts, bangin’ percussion classes, and… what’s summer camp without getting outside and just playing like a maniac!? And even better, each week your camper will groove with a different theme exploring a different style of music. That’s 11 different themes for 11 different adventures!* (And, um, there’s absoLUTEly an art/performance showcase at the end of each camp so you can get a full view of what your rockstar has been up to!) Sign up for all 11 weeks or choose as many or as few as you’d like for the ultimate Summer Camp at Mister John’s!

TIMES: Camp runs 9am-3pm, Monday through Friday. Early drop-offs at 8am and late pick-ups at 5pm are available for additional fees.

AND… One for the Four-Year Olds!
You’ve asked so we’re giving it a go. Mister John and his team are offering a week specifically for 4yo’s. This camp will include daily classes in Stories and Standards, Music and Movement, Arts and Crafts, and Creative Play. And of course playground time! Six hours is a big camp day for 4yo’s so we won’t be offering early drop-off, late pick-up for these nuggets.

PIANO CAMP!
LEARN TO PLAY PIANO – 7/20-7/24 – for new beginners (6-10yo)
Is your child curious about playing piano? This fun and engaging piano camp is the perfect first step! Designed especially for brand-new beginners, students will explore the piano through games, creative activities, and hands-on learning that make music exciting and accessible. Campers will learn basic note reading, rhythm, and simple songs—all while building confidence and having a blast at the keyboard. By the end of the week, they’ll be amazed at what they can play!
PIANO INTENSIVE – 7/27-7/31 – for continuing students (6-11yo)
Is your current piano student ready to take their skills to the next level? Piano Intensive Camp is an exciting musical experience for students who have completed at least one year of piano. Campers will step it up – playing together, developing listening skills, rhythm, teamwork, and musical expression. With music arranged for multiple levels, our instructor can accommodate a wide range of abilities—so every student feels challenged and successful. It’s collaborative, creative, and incredibly fun, culminating in music that’s even better when played together!
Space is limited to 12 campers per week.

GUITAR CAMP!
LEARN TO PLAY GUITAR – 7/27-7/31 – for new beginners (6-10yo)
Has your child ever wanted to play the guitar? This high-energy beginner camp is a fantastic introduction to making music on the guitar. Perfect for students with no prior experience, campers will learn through interactive games, group activities, and hands-on instruction that keep learning fun and motivating. Students will be introduced to music literacy, simple melodies, basic chords, and rhythm skills. By the end of the week, they’ll be excited—and amazed—to hear themselves playing real music!
GUITAR INTENSIVE – 8/3-8/7 – for continuing students (6-11yo)
This ensemble guitar camp is designed for students who are ready to grow their skills in a group setting. Open to students with at least one year of experience, campers will learn how to play as part of a group—strengthening rhythm, listening skills, coordination, and musical awareness. Music is thoughtfully arranged to suit multiple skill levels, allowing every student to be supported and challenged. The week wraps up with a collaborative, fun-filled musical experience that shows how exciting it is to make music together!

ENSEMBLE CAMP!
ENSEMBLE PREP CAMP – 6/15-6/19 – for new beginners (invite only)
At MJM we put together a band – pianists, guitarists, percussionists, strings, vocalists, the works! Has your child ever wanted to be in a pop or rock band? This camp is designed for continuing students (all instruments) who would like to try out an Ensemble experience. Your child will become part of the band – sometimes as the lead singer, sometimes playing dimensional multi-rhythmic arrangements, and even experimenting with new instruments like the electric bass or hand-percussion. Camp will culminate in a mini-concert of what we’ve been working on all week.
ENSEMBLE INTENSIVE – 8/17-8/21 – for continuing students (invite only)
Expressly for our existing Ensemble students, this intensive is an opportunity to play with a new collection of bandmates. Expect new songs, new arrangements, the development of deeper collaboration and listening skills, and plenty of jamming out. These kids are already great musicians so let’s jumpstart their fall Ensemble experience! Camp will culminate in a mini-concert of what we’ve been working on all week.
