TransJam

Transjam is a recurrent event at MJM, designed to provide a safe space to make music for transpersons and their allies. Bring an instrument, a song or two (covers and/or originals), and your fellow trans musicians/friends. This event is pay-what-you-will but it is registration-based for the safety of its participants.

With raw passion and soulful vocals, Ntive Flora weaves tales of love, longing, and gratitude. Don’t miss this intimate concert of original music.

“There’s a lot of different sides of me I’ve learned to cultivate the last two years. Mother, teacher, and student. It’s my hope that this is an opportunity to let people in and share some of my inner most thoughts and stories.” 🌟🎶 

This concert will be inside our 761 S 8th Street School location, mask-optional.   BYOB.

Purple Sandwich Presents:
LIVE BAND KARAOKE

“Bandaoke,” or Live Band Karaoke, is a semi-regular event that the Purple Sandwich Band has been hosting for the past couple of years, and now they’re bringing it to Mister John’s Music! The band is prepared to be your live backing band while you sing some of your favorite karaoke songs. Dante (guitar, piano), Bryan (bass, guitar), and Brooks (drums) have learned HUNDREDS of cover songs from a variety of artists and are always open to new song requests.
 
This month’s theme is Top 40!

A family-friendly educational cabaret with Miss Casie 

What’s an 11 o’clock number? What about an encore?  Find out at Miss Casie’s “evening” of songs, stories, and lessons all about what cabaret is and how to craft your very own!  This performance is for children and caregivers 4yo and older.
