Mister John’s Music’s After-School Program for the ’24-25 school year!  

Alright, you want/need aftercare for your child but what exactly does an afternoon at MJM After-School entail?  Great question!

First MJM staff will pick-up your child immediately after school (available at CCCS, Meredith, McCall, Nebinger, Vare-Washington (Thurs./Fri. only), and Fanny Jackson Coppin) and escort them to our studio (unless you choose to bring your child to the studio yourself).  There’s time for snacks (from home) and socialization while we wait for all of our kids to arrive.  Then, children enrolled in the MJM After-School Program will  participate in a variety of structured and self-guided activities.  Each day of the week offers a choice between two music classes (Ex. Guitar & Percussion, Piano & Choir) – you’ll select one of the two music offerings per day of programming upon registration.  For the remainder of the afternoon, your child will have the opportunity to participate in one of our non-musical activities (Visual Arts, Drama Games, Yoga, etc.).  These additional enrichment classes may on occasion be outdoors – either on our outdoor stage, Cianfrani Park or Palumbo Park.  Should your child wish to forgo the additional enrichment class on any given day, they may choose to participate in MJM Club, which consists of supervised reading, relaxing, and homework time.

FALL SESSION – REGISTRATION OPENS MARCH 15!
RETURNING students will receive a  link for their continuing classes.
NEW registrants may join any of our Beginning sections or Choir.

DATES:  
After-School Program 2024-25 Fall Session (17 weeks) runs 8/26/24-12/20/24 in our 761 S. 8th Street location. 
After-School Program 2024-25 Winter/Spring Session (22 weeks) runs 1/6/25-6/13/25 in our 761 S. 8th Street location.

NOTES:
There WILL be classes on Labor Day (Monday 9/2/24), MLK Day (1/20/25), Presidents’ Day (2/17/25) and Memorial Day (5/26/25).
There WILL NOT be classes on Thanksgiving Weekend (11/28/24-11/29/24), or during Spring Break (4/14/25-4/18/25).
Pick-ups are available from CCCS, Meredith, McCall, Nebinger, and Fanny Jackson Coppin (Mondays-Friday) and Vare-Washington (Thursday & Fridays ONLY).  In order to confirm pick-up option, we need at least three students at any given school on that day of programming – so invite friends from school to join!
On days for which there is early dismissal or school is cancelled, there will be no pick-up.

COSTS:
After-School Program 2024-25 Fall Session (17 weeks) costs $1000/day of programming with pickup OR $890/day of programming without pickup.
After-School Program 2024-25 Winter/Spring Session (22 weeks) costs $1290/day of programming with pickup OR $1150/day of programming without pickup.

Payment Terms for Fall Session:
$500 deposit per day of programming due at registration
50% of remaining balance due – charged on August 15, 2024
Balance Due – charged on September 15, 2024

Refund Policy for Fall Session:
Full Deposit Refund until April 15, 2024
April 16, 2024-April 30, 2024 – Deposit Forfeiture
May 1, 2024-July 1, 2024 – Deposit Forfeiture, but 25% of paid balance refunded.
After July 1, 2024 – No refunds of any paid amounts.

RETURNING FAMILIES:
You will receive an email with a link for your correct leveled class to continue progressing with the rest of the class!

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
By enrolling in Mister John’s Music After-School Program, you agree with the Mister John’s Music TERMS & CONDITIONS &PRIVACY POLICY.
There are no make-ups for our After-School Program – students who miss a day of After-School Program may not attend another day of the week.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE:
Classes run 3:45-5:45 with pickup beforehand.

MONDAYS: 
Your child’s choice of BEGINNER PERCUSSION or VARSITY KIDS CHOIR (8-10yo) and Drama Games.

TUESDAYS:
For 23-24 cont. beginner students, ADV. BEGINNER PIANO or ADV. BEGINNER GUITAR and Arts and Crafts.
For 23-24 beginner students, CONT. BEGINNER PIANO or CONT. BEGINNER GUITAR and Arts and Crafts.
For NEW students,  BEGINNER PIANO and Arts and Crafts.

WEDNESDAYS: 
For 23-24 beginner students, CONT. BEGINNER PIANO or CONT. BEGINNER GUITAR and Yoga.
For NEW students, your child’s choice of BEGINNER PIANO or BEGINNER GUITAR and Yoga.

THURSDAYS: 
Your child’s choice of BEGINNER UKULELE, BEGINNER PIANO or JUNIOR KIDS CHOIR (5-7yo) and Drama Games.

FRIDAYS: 
Your child’s choice of BEGINNER PIANO or BEGINNER GUITAR and Arts and Crafts.
